I am a licensed clinical psychologist, devoted supervisor, writer wannabe, and avid dreamer. I have a bicoastal practice, where I offer telehealth therapy sessions to individuals in New York City and the Seattle area.
I found my way into practicing therapy through art, where I recognized the magic of symbolizing my internal world, and in turn, being seen. I want to help you symbolize your internal world as well. As a queer person, I understand the difficulty of letting your whole self show up. From this place, I strive to genuinely see you, in all your multitudes, and what you’re working through.
I received a Master's degree from Seattle University in Existential Psychology, and subsequently received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The New School in New York City.
My training and doctoral research have focused on trauma, embodiment, and meaning making. I have training and experience in a variety of therapeutic modalities including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Meaning Centered Psychotherapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
During my training, I have held clinical positions at Mount Sinai Beth Israel, The New School Counseling Center, Brooklyn VA Military Sexual Trauma Clinic, and Bellevue Hospital. I additionally completed my Postdoctoral Fellowship and went on to hold a faculty appointment at the Mount Sinai World Trade Center Mental Health Program, where I worked with first responders and pioneered services for queer folks within the program. I have also completed the Meaning Centered Psychotherapy training through Memorial Sloan Kettering, and worked as part of the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy team at the WTC program. I have spent the last few years as part of the Therapists of New York group practice in New York City, working with individual patients and supervising psychologists in training.
I have taught classes for graduate and undergraduate students at The New School and The City University of New York including Trauma and Resilience, Empowerment & Body Consciousness, Existential Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Introduction to Psychology.
